What makes FOCUS different?
At FOCUS Behavior Coaching Co., we do more than address behavior—we help students build the skills they need to succeed in everyday life. Most services focus on short-term solutions. We focus on long-term growth.
What ages do you work with?
We primarily work with school-age children through high school, supporting skill development, behavior regulation, and independence.
What types of services do you offer?
We provide behavior coaching, parent support and training, life skills development, and structured skill-building sessions in-home or virtual.
Is this therapy or behavior coaching?
FOCUS is not therapy. We are behavior coaching and skill-building support focused on real-life strategies, routines, and practical change.
Where do sessions take place?
Services may take place in the home, community, school (if approved), or virtually depending on the family’s needs.
What kinds of behaviors do you help with?
We support challenges such as listening, emotional regulation, aggression, defiance, transitions, and difficulty following routines.
Do you work with children who have meltdowns or aggression?
Yes. We focus on understanding triggers, teaching replacement skills, and building regulation strategies that can be used in real time.
Can you help with routines and transitions?
Yes. We work on daily transitions such as bedtime, morning routines, homework, and leaving the house.
Do parents participate in sessions?
Yes. Parent involvement is a key part of success. We teach strategies so skills can continue outside of sessions.
Will I receive strategies to use at home?
Yes. Each session includes practical tools, coaching strategies, and step-by-step guidance for caregivers.
What if I feel overwhelmed as a parent?
That’s exactly who we support. We help break things down into simple, realistic steps so you feel more confident and in control.
How long are sessions?
Session length varies depending on the plan, typically ranging from 1–4 hours.
How often do sessions take place?
Frequency depends on family needs and goals. We offer weekly and flexible scheduling options.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions include skill practice, behavior coaching, real-life application, and parent guidance when appropriate.
How much do services cost?
Pricing depends on service type and schedule. A detailed plan is provided during the consultation.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require advance notice for cancellations. Full policy details are provided during intake.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, not at this time.
FOCUS Behavior Coaching Co. operates as a private-pay service and does not currently accept insurance. This decision allows us to maintain flexibility in service delivery, personalize coaching plans without insurance limitations, and reduce administrative delays so families can access support more quickly.
How do I get started with FOCUS?
Start by contacting us for a consultation. We will discuss needs, goals, and the best support plan for your child.
What happens during the first consultation?
We review concerns, discuss goals, and outline a recommended support plan.
How soon can services begin?
Start times vary, but we aim to begin services as soon as scheduling allows.
